The SWARM Sound has an automated field calibration. During the first minute after powering the device, the SWARM Sound will automatically detect a field calibration signal and start the calibration procedure. The result will be uploaded and visible in Honeycomb when an internet connection has been established.
Simply power the SWARM Sound and connect a field calibrator with a 94dB signal within the first minute, then watch the LEDs. When the field calibrator is detected, the LEDs will show 3 roving blue lights. After a few seconds, the lights will flash green if the field calibration was successful. If the lights flash red, it means the field calibration has failed. Power cycle the SWARM Sound and reinsert the calibrator to try again.

If the field calibration keeps failing, feel free to contact us via support@omnidots.com.
Most field calibrators should be compatible with the SWARM Sound when it works with a 1/2” microphone and calibrates at 94dB with a 1KHz signal. Some deviations between manufacturers may result in incompatibility. When in doubt, please contact the Omnidots support team via email or the chat on the right below.
